April in review

It feels like only 5 minutes ago I was writing the March in review post. And I’m fairly sure that in that post I commented on how it had only been 5 minutes since I wrote the February in review post. Honestly, this year is completely flying by. I’m sure I’m not alone in that feeling though, pretty much everyone I speak to says that! It’s completely crazy!

And yet again, because life is passing me by so quickly, I’ve let my blog posting slip and I’ve barely been on Twitter and Instagram. Basically, I suck at blogging right now! Which is a shame because I really enjoy it. But the good news is that after I’ve moved house (which is now in just over 2 weeks time, eeeeeek!) I’ve got lots of goals that I want to work towards with the blog – more on that to come in another post.

So then April, what did you deliver? Well, first and foremost I found out my actual moving in date for the house! That was SO exciting, to finally find out when I’d be getting my hands on the keys was almost like a huge relief of sorts. It was almost like there was light at the end of the tunnel for a change, rather than just a black hole with no destination. If you’ve read any of my previous blog posts about moving house you’ll know that I’ve found this whole not having my own house thing pretty tough, much tougher than I expected it to be. So finally having a set date has allowed me to start getting organised again. Woooo!

I also had a trip to Prague in April. This was the first time in 4 months that I’d had any time off work and god did I need it! I didn’t realise how much I needed it until I’d got there and it was a fabulous weekend, just like it always is 🙂

In a remarkable turn of events, I actually managed to read and finish a book that I’ve been reading since last September. Yes, Poldark book 8 is finally complete! Have I started book 9? Well, no, sadly not. Realistically I probably won’t start it until after I’ve moved house now. I’m definitely going to try and get all 12 read before the end of this year though!

My The Body Shop At Home venture is also going quite well. April was my second month and I feel like I’m starting to settle in a bit and get to grips with things. Still got a long way to go though to get really good and successful so onwards and upwards we go with that!

And that’s about it really. It doesn’t seem very much after writing it all down but like I’ve already said, the whole month has completely flown. It’s the first month in the past 4 or 5 where I’ve actually started to feel positive! And that’s quite exciting because that’s who I am so it’s nice to start getting back to being me again.

We’re already, unbelievably, one week in to May and so far I haven’t had much on. But from today and for the next 2 and a half weeks, it’s all systems go. I’ve got lots of twirling training going on, some Body Shop stuff and of course the house move which will take up quite a lot of planning and organising time. It’s also my birthday and there’s lots of social things going on too. Wowzers.

Here’s to a marvellous May! Much love x
