An August style experiment – week 4

Here we are at week 4 of my style experiment and I feel like I’m only just getting properly started! I’m really enjoying focusing on my style, figuring out to wear each day and putting outfits together.

It is actually quite hard to keep the focus on choosing something that I consider looks good to wear each day. Every now and then I feel like I just want to chuck on a pair of jogging bottoms and a crappy old t-shirt to go out – but I know I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that, meaning I wouldn’t have any confidence in what I was wearing and so just feel rubbish. So keeping the focus has been the hardest part of all this!

One thing I’ve also noticed is that I haven’t been out anywhere all month! I’ve only had outfits to wear to work each day or at the weekend (outrageous situation for a single 34 year old girl!). I’ve got so many beautiful clothes that I could wear for a night out somewhere and I can’t wait to wear them!

So, week 4 – only 4 days this week as I was away for a long weekend and, well quite frankly, I couldn’t be bothered to take any pictures while I was away! So this week isn’t particularly interesting.

My favourite outfit is the jumpsuit. I really love jumpsuits, perfect for the summer and so comfortable if you find the right one. I’ve got several, ones for daytime and ones for nights out, and I love all of them. They look so good on as well. what’s not to love!

I’m a lover of denim shirts. Teamed with a simple vest top or t-shirt underneath they look good and are comfortable in any season.

And at the moment I’m a massive Gap fan. I love their t-shirts (the grey one is a Gap classic, bought just a few weeks ago) as well as many other things. Although it is expensive in comparison to some other places, the fit of their clothes and the quality is amazing! I’m extremely lucky that I can afford to buy stuff from there at the moment because it’s among my favourite shops right now.

So here we are:

As I’m still really enjoying documenting my outfit choices, I’m going to continue taking a daily picture for as long as I can be bothered to and will publish them each week. No longer an experiment for me, just a way to keep my own interest in my clothes and style!
